JxB Royal Standard Poodles Spring litter 2016 are now going on 8 wks old!
3 Females + 4 Males = 7 Jewels x Bruno pups!
Born 4/8/16 - these will be some beautiful Royals with nice structure and size! That allows puppies to fly out on Friday June 3rd - please mark your calendars and plan accordingly.

The following story boards can only be fun and general as pups are too young to have developed any definite personality yet, and the fact they will be completed by you, the new owners...Customers will come to choose at 6 wks old, choose from the pictures and having 3 mc's in mind to pick from...as I work through the list at that time...unless people let me know sooner...

A bit of a Note: I just watched an AKC video stating dogs tilt their heads to catch the pitch of the sound and try to discern its meaning...we use a clicker and other sounds to get them to look at us for your picture viewing, and thus we get tilted heads on occasion :o)

Ahhhh, it's been a long play day...time to get some zzz's on our pet beds :o)
Tes here, it's SO fun watching them enjoy learning and playing with what they find :o))
Tes has been trying for weeks to catch a picture of us playing on the slide...she slooooowly snuck out the door, slooowly quietly worked her way down middle park...taking pictures of us hoping we wouldn't see her and come running :o)

They all went out that doggy door? Tes had to stop painting it as we had to come into the family room...
The paper shredders are at it AGAIN! Now Tes has to NOT put paper down anymore because we keep shredding!!! Time to go to our new homes to help her out ;o)
Momma's get away...and we're learning to climb steps...won't be a get away for long!

Mmmmmm....
It's been raining outside so we have to eat in...Tes places painter paper down for us to potty on, so if we can't go outside at night, we tend to go to the paper like when we started in the nursery. This will be our last canned dog food mixed with dry as we will then go on all dry Vets Health Extension dog food.

We're 1 wk behind Zeddy's puppies in age...learning to potty outside with Tes's trick of calling us outside with the food and Potty Outside!
We're certainly learning from the older pups, like figuring out the doggy doors faster by following them out :o)

We're now going on 7 wks old, learning so much with our curiosity, Tes's care to teach us, allowing us soooo much space to learn in :o) Our sand box, she's never been able to get the black dirt and grass to grow here yet...allowing us to dig, dig, dig when we want ;o)
It's a pet bed party...hang in there...we'll be seeing you oh so soon ;o)

A...and now it's time to learn to go "Potty Outside" as we go into 4 wks old... and Tes entices us out with food ;o)) The 1 wk older litter of Zeddy comes out the other doggy door, we're still learning to just come out :o)

Tes will be setting crates up for us to get smells for when some of us fly to you, and learn about crates, there's a stepper, and Momma has the opportunity to get away from us by climbing up on the deck to the right...and we learn to climb onto the Kuranda bed in time...it's all a heated floor for us :o)
We want to try eating what momma's eating, but Tes adds soft canned food to help us transition, nummy nummy ;o)

And now Tes has moved us out to the Family Room to have MORE room yet :o) Here more toys are provided to learn and play with...as well as...
We're starting to play more, learning about our litter mates. Tes adds toys for us to check out...and of course BEEF BONES - Nummy as our teeth start coming in...

Potty On Paper! It's where we want to go as we grow and want to staty clean off of the blankies...Tes is so good to keep changing papers...she layers them pretty thick to peel off from the top as we go...I know, one of those things you really wanted to know about ;o)

Above; we're going on 3 wks old now. Our ears have opened up and Tes is banging things, making noises for us to learn to overcome as natural, recover faster and faster from, and whoever has a name she calls it out for us to get use to the sounds :o)
We'll be seeing some of you at the 6 wk pick out date...which Tes is going to start calling the "Puppy Party". This will bring some of you here to help socialize us, learn how to work with us, and of course pick each to go to our new home :o))) Look for notes in upcoming wkly emails...stay tuned for our 5 wk picture update 5/13/16...

We are now given even more room with as we move around more and more.
Definitely learning to make sounds, play and interact with my brothers and sisters...chewing on each other, mauling (teeth aren't in quite yet) and finding our tolerance with each other :o)

It's a PUPPY PILE! Tes has been gradiently turning the heat down with our body heat developing. Piling is fun and warmth!!!
What I have always done, as shared in Jane Killion's way, is crawled in with the pups when their eyes start to open and begin socializing them by holding, cuddling, touching them all over...allowing them to crawl over me, learn of obstacles and allowing them to have light learning frustration. Yes, that helps them to learn on a gradient gaining in intelligence as the smart poodles that standards are known for...ah so much to help them begin their lives with the best opportunities :o)
A new DVD series by Jane Killion "Puppy Culture - The Powerful First 12 wks" has validated all I've done over the years of bringing up our Royal Standard Poodle puppies for you - instinctively. It is of such value to the consumer as well in learning to understand what good breeders can do to help bring about exceptional pets. Thus, I truly ponder on adding it into the purchase price of our pets...it's expensive...yet, as I find something that is of such value to educating us it can hardly NOT be included :o) So, I will continue to evaluate but in the mean time, if you like to learn, you can purchase it at the link above and share with all those around you :o)

With our eyes open, Tes has added more room with newspapers as we are definitely getting our legs beneath us and we want to instinctively potty off of our bed :o)

Oh yeah, suckling, zzzz's, and warmth...you can see momma's been licking me!
As we grow, we definitely like to catch our zzzz's...and momma is still needing to catch up too...

Momma keeps licking us to help us excrete as it is a voluntary action yet. Lick, lick, lick...that's a whooooole lot of lickin' goin' on...
Above we are going on two and three weeks old. Our eyes open into the 2 wk age and our ears start opening around 3 wks old. We hope you enjoy watching the pictures added upward as we grow up :o)
It's snuggling time in momma Jewels loving arms..and she keeps us oh so warm with the heating pad beneath us.
Our tails are docked, we're all figuring out the zzz's and nummy nummies while momma rests up :o)))

Lots of growing, we latch right on, within minutes for some of us...some oh so soon...we're already moving to smell for the nipple full with milk :o) That's our first sense that we must have!

We're growing, still crawling onto Momma is a part of becoming scooters...I think it's just somewhere to go when you can't see where we're going yet ;0)
Nummy, nummy, some of us nurse, some of us sleep, and some of us smaller ones get rotated into nursing more often by Tes so that the bigger ones don't push us out all the time :0) Momma has lots of milk for us to grow, and with 7 of us Tes supplies good "Nuvet" supplements and a mousse for blending with the "Holistic Organic Vets Choice Life Extension" dry dog food we'll be eating when we grow old enough...
...we're getting bigger FAST ... see our tummies getting tubby :0))
At 3 days old we're keeping warm in Tes's bedroom she has warmed up to 76 degrees as we don't have any body heat regulation yet, a temperature controlled heating pad is underneath a wool blanket. Wool blankets wick away any moisture that come from us, keeping us dry and warm. Tes will change them to show different colors in viewing your colorful pups in the coming weeks :o)

I'll get right side here, these guys are in my way, uh huh uh huh......there's the littlest guy at my chest, he gets right in there. Our tails and due claws will come off soon, 1-3 days, and it's the weekend so we have to wait until Monday.
They are all of nice size doing very well as is Jewels ;o)

There are several of us that have very tiny bits of white mismarks on our chest, barely noticeable...always several in litters...
...And nummy, nummy...they already want to climb onto Momma Jewel's back...it's been amusing to watch, though a bit stressing to keep pulling them off so they don't fall behind her...searching searching for that nummy, nummy...

Jewel's puppies are just being born, and she is being very loving by being the instinctive Momma by licking them dry and as they can't potty normally on their own without licking to stimulate the function.
